A weekend in Leeeeds
Went to Leeds a couple of weekends ago, but hadn't got round to editing them until now. The two nights of scanning put me off. (I happen to be watching scanners, so that last sentence made me chuckle.) Anyway, seeing as my long day of photographing was rained off, I finally got round to it...
About Last Night...
Carnage in Manchester! This time it's not the mildly offensive student pub crawl, the culprits are younger. Rumour had started whilst at work yesterday of the riots spreading closer to home, and I spent most of last night listening to events unfold on BBC Manchester. The repair work has been quick, most of the damaged shops having been boarded up and businesses doing their best to open up as usual, but hopefully these photos will show some of the atmosphere this morning...
At the Clean-up meeting. A great turn out, even if there was little they could actually do. I watched a group attempt to remove a melted bin from a path for a few minutes, they could still be there now as far as I know.
