The Stockport Project

A lot can change in a relatively short space of time. When I last updated this blog, I was sat in the front room of our ground floor flat in Stockport, overlooking the Heaton Chapel train station, trying to make the most of my time before going back to my job making God-awful Canvases and Acrylic Panels - things the Photographic Industry shits out. As I write this, I'm sat in my office in our Terraced cottage, somewhere between Bradford and Halifax, stopping now and again to look out of the window and see what the horse is up to in the field. Usually he's eating grass. I had been looking for a job, and felt I should put photography to the back of my mind whilst I did so, and therefore I have recently produced very little. However, as of this week I am a 'Trainee Barista', and I can relax and enjoy photography again. Having said that, I have no money to buy or process film, but I do have some unfinished work from before the move, which I will be posting here in due time. For a post in which I wanted to attract attention to someone else's work, this is pretty self-centered, so I'll get to the point. My past colleague and good friend Nathan has been uploading images from his wanders through Stockport to his new blog, The Stockport Project, unedited and unfiltered. There's some proper gems in there, so I recommended having a good scroll through. You will enjoy it.
